In this station the scout is introduced to railroading as a business by a Station Master who has knowledge of the railroad industry. There will be time to ask questions.

This is what you will learn

You will learn that a railroad cannot operate with just engineers and conductors. It takes a wide variety of skilled people to run a railroad. No matter what your education/skills, the railroad industry should be considered when looking for a job.

You will also learn about the end-of-train device (EOTD) and the flashing rear end device (FRED).
